The
pool deck is sectioned in 8 foot blocks to minimize
gaps that occur from shrinkage of the material.
A
border board is used in between these sections for
beauty and to minimize the spot of the gap.

Although
you will probably not be walking on this in the winter,
there will be about a 1/8" gap between these boards
due to the boards shrinking linearly. This will return
back to a tight fit as the temperature returns to the
