This tool will calculate both
the size and quantity of Bear Boards™ you need to
finish your maintenance free residential deck.
If your spacing between the centers of the
joists is 16", we recommend using 5/4" x 6"
Bear Boards™.
If your spacing between the centers of the joists is 24",
we recommend using 2" x 6" Bear Boards™.
If this is a commercial application, we recommend using
12" centers for 5/4x6 boards and 16" oc for 2x6
boards
a little extra support makes a big difference with heavy
traffic over the years.
